Awesome... still peeved at the not being able to get a Prophecies CE as I got into GW a little late and the prices of those went up through the roof.

But I am still hoping the codes for specials and the unicode for all chapters is separate, so i can add the specials to my account...I wonder if it has 10 character slots instead of 8.

It doesn't say anything about emotes. So far, the only ingame item this package comes with is a minipet. It doesn't seem to come with any of the previous collector's edition bonuses, it's a new (ultimate)CE with its own bonuses. This is in fact more in line with the technical definition of what a CE is since it comes with a numbered certificate. Anywho, it refers to an "Ultimate CE security card" 'cause this is the ultimate edition released in limited quantities (making it a CE), not because it come with the past CE ingame bonuses from all three games.

I wonder if they jumped the gun and posted this or they were able to due to the magazine being officially out for magazine subscribers.
I wonder if the "ultimate" edition will contain Chapter 4. If they do I can see a lot of us buying this edition (new chapter + extras). If it only covers Chapters 1-3 not sure if I will pick this up just for 1 mini-pet.

No...it's not about the mini pet, its about the other extras, like the art book, or the usb key, and the maps and posters and skill pins...just hope they do release it in america.

You know where I am going with this.
But seriously though, the USB Stick and Art Book would be nice if it comes out in America.

Also of note is the games are not listed as the CE versions, just the normal ones excpet Prophecies which is the '06 edition (same as GOTY in the US).
Still, new Mini, thumb drive and the Art book would kick ass!

In-fact I do think Anet should released a Guild Wars Trilogy Edition which comprises the original GW and all of its expansions. This saves all the trouble of finding a particular expansion or something.

Reminds me of other "BEST OF" and "ULTIMATE" or "GOLD" editions, e.g. Ultima Online or Dark Age of Camelot. They usually contain all the goodies you had before plus a lot of extras
They usually get released after a game is in aging, in decline or a successor has been advertised. In music business after a band has dissolved. So I am not too excited, because it shows that GW is basically done, hello GW2!
New customers might now be able to get Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall for the price of one.
The kingsize map poster (For all that do not know what A0 is: If you fold A4, you get A5. If you fold A5, you get A6. If you double A4, you get A3. Double A3, and you get A2...)
NOW this could be the WORLD MAP of GW, uniting all three previous GW maps in one big world map. And we finally get to know where the battle isles are and where Cantha is located in relation to Elona/Tyria.

As the previous three CE versions have had emotes/bonuses/whatever you want to call them then there is no reason for us to think that this which is labelled as CE would NOT have them. It may have a new one, it may lump all three of the previous ones in. As is NO ONE KNOWS and we are just hazarding our guesses and hopes here.
You know its the Guild Wars die hards who already have all 3 that will want this set, not the people trying GW out for the first time. And its pretty fair to say the people that have been playing for two years (give or take some time) wont want to start a new account for the goodies, we would want it on the one all our work has been put into. If it is a single code it will feel like a huge rip off not getting the 8 char slots that would be lost (seeing how adding codes works right now). If the codes are split, one for the goodies one for the campaigns, it will make spending the large amount of money for this bundle easier. Could also be appeased if adding the main code adds the character slots....

I'm sure they have no qualms taking your money, and you might persuade them to serve you better in that respect, but you hardcore posters on guru are such an insigificant portion of the market. This is to swallow up newbies just as it has been in every other re-release + xpacks for every other game. It isn't the die-hards that are keeping Diablo battlechest on the store shelves all these years.

Sounds pretty cool but yes, a new option for the hardcores regarding the character-slots would be appreciated....
Futureshop here in Canada (either there or BestBuy) is selling all three in one package at the present for I think around $120 CDN... Nothing special about the packaging though, just 3 regular editions shrink-wrapped together. Not a bad price ($40 each), but not outstanding either...

I'm just saying it will not have the existing ones that came with the original three CE's. It even labels the Prophecies it comes with as the GOTY/'06 edition and since it just says Factions and Nightfall- you can infer they're the standard editions. It may have some new kind of emote though. The rest of your post has nothing to do with my comment.

One could infer that since there is no mention of this new supposed ultimate edition on the GW site or elsewhere that I have seen yet that they haven't just posted the descriptions of the seperate ones they sell. So its your belief that it wont have the old CE items, others like me can believe that it might. Guess what, the world doesnt revolve around you nor did the rest of my post (see the new paragraph back there? That means a change in direction.) Don't assume I was talking to you.

Why are you taking this so personally? I never said anything that would even remotely imply I thought the world revolved around me. If they were just listing other items on their site, they would've just listed all three as standard editions and not just the one GOTY edition. Everyone is indeed entitled to their own speculation, but don't act like you are the champion of the downtrodden silent majority and I'm being a greedy bastard. Your opinion is yours (not the voice of the community), and mine is mine.
And I didn't say the other paragraph was directed to me.

I never noticed this before, but the A-series papers put together in that picture represents the GOLDEN RATIO. WOOT!!! Wiki it, you'll know what it is.

I doubt i'll consider buying anymore GW 1 stuff 'til I know the true story behind the GW 2 rumor. Honestly, I can't see putting anymore money into a game with a known limited play time.
